On Wednesday 20th July we celebrated our annual Randall summer party down by the memorial arch. The weather was great for 2nd year running, however, there was also a tinge of sadness in the air it was also a time to say goodbye to John Stupple, our autoclave technician. John joined the Randall (initially only temporarily) in 2004 and after a short period of uncertainty was offered a full-time post. Since then, he provided the department with a reliable and very valuable service. As Sarah Meredith said in her speech, we really did notice when John was away, washing would pile up and groups would end up squabbling over who’s turn it was to clean up.
After over 12 years of exceptional service, John has decided to retire ( he definitely deserves it!)
We wish him all the best in the future and may he enjoy many happy and fruitful years ahead.
